LOVE MERCY

"Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving
your neighbor as yourself"

"I will, with God's help"
(The Book of Common Prayer)

Mercy

When asked which is the greatest commandment in the Law, Jesus replied:

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself." All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. (Matt 22:36-38)

At Christ the King, we believe in demonstrating mercy to those in need by feeding the hungry, sheltering the unhoused, visiting the sick, and providing assistance to those who require help within the community. In general, we collaborate with local agencies and non-profits that are better equipped to know the needs.

We have several ongoing collaborations and many more that are seasonal. Announcements and information are provided regularly in The Whisper (our weekly e-newsletter) and through Sunday announcements. If you would like to donate to one of our regular outreach efforts, you can do so via the "Donate" tab above (please indicate outreach in the notes).

Episcopal Relief & Development is the compassionate response of The Episcopal Church to human suffering in the world. Hearing God’s call to seek and serve Christ in all persons and to respect the dignity of every human being, Episcopal Relief & Development serves to bring together the generosity of Episcopalians and others with the needs of the world.

Episcopal Relief & Development faithfully administers the funds that it receives from the church and raises from other sources. It provides relief in times of disaster and promotes sustainable development by identifying and addressing the root causes of suffering.

Episcopal Relief & Development cherishes its partnerships within the Anglican Communion, with ecumenical bodies and with others who share a common vision for justice and peace among all people.
