WHAT WE DO

He has told you, O mortal, what is good;
and what does the Lord require of you
but to DO JUSTICE, and to LOVE MERCY,
and to WALK HUMBLY WITH YOUR GOD?
(Micah 6:8)

Our understanding of God compels us to...

DO JUSTICE

Initiatives that advocate for justice and peace, addressing issues of diversity, inclusion, the environment, racial & interreligious reconciliation, and ending cycles of poverty.

LOVE MERCY

Acts of charity to those in need:

feeding the hungry, sheltering the unhoused, and visiting the sick, among other forms of assistance to those who require help in the community.

WALK HUMBLY WITH OUR GOD

Christian discipleship that includes corporate worship and faith formation.

Mission

The Mission of
The Episcopal Church

The mission of The Episcopal Church, as stated in the Book of Common Prayer’s catechism, is “to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ.” In step with that mission, we follow Jesus into loving, liberating, and life-giving relationships with God, with each other, and with the earth.

In continuing step with the mission of The Episcopal Church, Christ the King seeks to cultivate faith, hope, and love in the Body of Christ as we minister to our community and to the world.
